A man from Hardin County, Texas has filed a personal injury suit against Morgan Building & Spas after he was allegedly injured while working. The suit was filed by Matthew Acklin in Jefferson County, Texas District Court on August 7.
Court papers say that on October 18, 2007, Acklin was moving a floor for a spa deck, lifting and turning simultaneously with two other employees when he sustained “severe, painful, disabling” personal injuries.
According to the suit, Acklin was owed a duty by Morgan to properly maintain the premises and surrounding area and keep both in a condition that is reasonably safe. Morgan was also responsible for providing sufficient employees and equipment as well as proper supervision to complete the required task.
According to Acklin, Morgan’s negligence was the cause of the personal injuries he sustained. He seeks damages, interest, and other relief.
