A man from Harris County, Texas has filed a personal injury suit against two companies and an individual after he allegedly sustained personal injuries in a plant explosion.
On June 11, Anthony Alderete was working at Texas Petrochemicals when the neighboring Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company plant exploded, according to the complaint he filed in the Jefferson County, Texas District Court on September 26.
Alderete claims that the explosion has caused him to suffer pain, mental anguish, loss of affection, society, guidance, counseling, earnings, earning capacity, consortium and enjoyment of life.
Alderete alleges negligence on the part of Goodyear and Mike Lockwood for their failure to enact and enforce proper safety regulations in order to prevent the accident.
TPC was separated from Goodyear be a chain-link fence and railroad track. Alderete also claims negligence on the part of TPC for its failure to maintain a safe workplace, notify workers of the explosion in a timely manner, and notify workers of the release of dangerous vapors.
