
Florida Governor Charlie Crist has decided not to reappoint a workers' compensation judge from Jacksonville, Florida who had been accused of bias
In 2007, a formal report was sent by the chief the Division of Administrative Hearings of Florida to the governor based on complaints of Judge William Dane favoring employers when it comes to cases of workers' compensation. On June 24, Dane was informed by Crist's general counsel of the decision the governor had made.
Dane will be allowed to remain on the bench until a replacement has been appointed by Crist, a process which will take approximately three months.
